Have you noticed how the sit helps to calm down (the body then the mind), and sometimes allows insights to pop up in the mind?

It happened again to me last day, and it helped to solve a challenge that Françoise, my wife, was facing since a while.

Although she has always been in excellent health, she had a painful right hip since more than one year, and the visit to several therapists of different disciplines had only brought some hints about what the source of her pain was not, but nothing about what it could be…

One day, while I was massaging the muscles around her spine, trying to give her some relief, my right thumb hit a spot that made Françoise screaming with pain…the spot seemed to randomly disappear and reappear. KMG-Deeper-Insights-Cartoon

Now the recurrent question to the subconscious mind was not anymore “What is the cause of that pain?” but “What organ is creating such a sharp pain?” and “How could it be that the pain can come and go like that?”

The more precise the question, the more precise the answer of the subconscious mind, which has – like every MKMMA member knows – its direct link to the “omniscient” universal mind…

And one morning during the sit, the words of the answer popped up in my mind as if it was written by Wikipedia on the screen of my PC:

“It is a chronicle inflammation of the crural nerve due to a defective and repetitive seated position of Françoise since years”

Wow…er…really?….are you sure? whispered my old blueprint with a little voice…write that down, quickly! ordered my subby (well, I suppose it was my subby, in any case, the command was strong enough to take me out of my sit and to execute it straight away!)

Useless to write that the hip pain of Françoise is now decreasing day after day, and that she found and corrected the flaw in her seated position…

How are you doing with your sit?

Have you by now realized the critical importance of this practice?

If yes, I am sure you have already programmed every day a second session of 15 minutes or more…

And if not, well…sit and meditate on the importance of doing it every day! 🙂

God bless you,

Luc
