Everybody says that “Time is money” but not many are able to turn time into money extremely well.

I certainly don’t belong to that “elite” category who perfectly mastered that equation “Time = Money” either.

It’s surely due for a significant part to my Blue character, which has often brought me to subconsciously replace the “money” side of the equation by some other riches, like relationship (“taking the time” with someone)    …    or joy (“spending time” with my grand-children in an amusement park or inventing with them a new game which would not survive its first trial)   …   or learning for myself (“investing time” in learning a new discipline)…

Hopefully, it seems that this approach – of which I am conscious today – also brings me all the money I need to satisfy my most precious desires.

As Mark J demonstrates in his awesome book “Standing Tall”, working earnestly to acquire just a few of the 13 riches eventually brings us all of them effortlessly!

But there is a catch.

Can you see the common point among all these formula: “Time = Money”, “Time = Relationships”, “Time = Learning”, “Time = Joy”, etc…?

Of course, it’s Time!

Which means that the challenge for the gifted guy/gall who can turn time into gold is the same challenge for everyone of us who choose to favor some other riches than money in their own “Time equations”…

And that challenge is: how to maximize the value of our Time?

The Ripley metaphor, comparing the respective values of bars of iron, horse shoes, needles, cutlery and clock gears shows that for the same amount of iron, the value of clock gears is nearly one million time higher than the value of a bar of iron.

Replacing the iron with Time, this metaphor awakened my attention again to the vital importance of using my time wisely, whatever I choose to put in the right side of my time equations…relationships, joy, learning, money,…

They are all the same…increasing my attention and my skills in any of these domains will automatically increase their value for my life, hence increasing the value of my life itself.

Yes, time is definitely the most precious gift we receive from the Universe after life itself.

Hence the importance of using it wisely…

So, whatever you decide to do with your time, do it with purpose and wisely!
